I like the MCU, never written for it.

Sam/Frodo is probably up there with Kirk/Sock in terms of the first slash pairings.

Yes, and both of those are generously founded in canon. I mean it doesn't get much more explicit -- in what you could put on general television -- than Amok Time. :D
