Zonked. (Real life)

I think I mentioned in July going down to Devon to help sort out my Aunt's house, said Aunt passed away a couple of weeks ago. We weren't expected it so soon, but we were expecting it so we're sad but not shocked. The funeral was yesterday, and we went down on Saturday to sort the house out some more in preperation for the day.

There were two services. One at the crematorium in the large town, and one memorial service in the afternoon in the village she lived in all her life. (she only ever moved one house down the road all her life until she was put into care)

Between the services we invited and lunched various distant family that we felt couldn't be asked to go to two seperate ceremonies without feeding them in between.

The services were very touching nd went well but as you can imagine a five hour drive, followed by prep, followed by a day of socialising with people I don't know was very fraught and tiring. Just got back today, and the journey was much longer than expected as we left Birmingham at four. Rush hour now starts at four in the afternoon apparently.

I'm totally knackered and have two days of work to go to before the weekend. :O

I'm sorry about your aunt. Good to know you were surrounded by family so as to get good closure on her passing.
