Happy December

Well I finally got my SC piece in you'll be happy to know. And all the manifold December fests are starting to post.

This is where I traditionally accidentally wind down my writing for like, the rest of winter and only start going again once hp_may_madness starts up. But I hope not this time. I'll keep trying to write drabbles for harry100 and hp_nextgen100 (though I owe both of the latest prompts response atm) And I might pick up a pinch hit at mini_fest if I find something I like.

In the category of things I've said before and will say again; I like my drabbles and shortfic but am really envious of those than can write longer chaptered fic. Still trying to figure out any ideas for a longer fic though.

What say you f-list? What are you up to? Is there new things you want to try? Are there new things I should try?

The only obligation I have on my plate right now is the Small Fandom Bang. I'm writing a Beauty and the Beast fic, with the premise that Gaston believed Maurice immediately, instead of trying to throw him into the asylum.

Last year, I wrote a Rocketeer story for Small Fandom Bang.

I must have watched beauty and the beast at least once in my life but I cant remember anything but the most basic things about it.

Coupled with HP and PotC thats an impressive breadth of fandoms.

I stick mostly with Harry Potter though, since that's the one fandom I'm most familiar with.

Not much on my end. I watched Fantastic Beasts and enjoyed it a lot and it brought back the harry potter fannish feelings in full force.
(will write a review after I watch it again this weekend)

still not sure what exactly to write/do yet. But I'm thinking of something for Christmas.

Also kind of helping/keeping an eye on a Next Gen fan project that's trying to get made next year.
But so far people really haven't show interest in participate so I don't know if it will get made in full.
(I talked to the friend organizing it to just make it a full length fanfic but the aim is still to make a fanfilm so... we'll see)

excited to visit siblings for Christmas where there's snow. I haven't seen snow in years.

(as for what to try--- well... I'm always secretly hoping there will be one day when there's a new Harry/Demelza flirting thing (I know it's ancient history but I still read it once in a while- and it's still so fun.
but.... no pressure)

Ha! Harry/Demelza were really fun to write. I do think it might be nice to try a longer UST fic with them. But I don't konw if I'll ever manage it.

Also can I say thank you for the wave of Al Potter stuff you've been writing?

ever since the Thing that Shall Not Be Named came out, 'nice' Al seems to have been replaced by emo jerk (and let's not even talk of the shipping UGH)

I've not see nor read the script for the play that must not be named. So my Al is still my headcanon Al. Most been writing James/Domnique drabbles recently but he has guest starred in a couple.
