Well I lived though the work away. Summer hours are back and the first hour is devoted to 'training'. So that'll be okay. Oh and they promised air con at last. But that's been on the cards since the last away day.

The second half of the day was in a bar and the group activity was a wine and beer tasting with associated quiz, which seemed to over run. The food was promised at about 4 and hadn't made an appearence by the time I an some team colleagues left to go home at 5. (The scheduled end of the day, although there was no real close and no real chance of addressing all at once in an incredibly loud and annoying bar.)

So had a sip of about 5 wine and half a dozen beers and don't feel great at all.

Glad you survived. It still surprises me that most of British buildings don't have air conditioner. I think that's pretty cool. Sucks that you need it now.

That beer/wine tasting doesn't sound that bad. I would enjoy that and I'm not even a drinker as such. Did you enjoy it? Mixing them was probably not the best idea. They probably should have done wine or beer.

Was it like a general knowledge pub quiz or a beer/wine specific quiz? I'm really good at the general knowledge ones for some weird reason.

Thanks. By the time they install it, we probably won't need it. :D

It was okay I guess. The pub was so loud i couldn't hear most of the information the guy was saying about each one.

It was a quiz about the wine tasting so the answers were on the menu/in the talks the presenters were giving basically.

Well if you've been waiting on it since last year you might get it in time for next summer. That's something to look forward to...

Oh, I hate when the surroundings are too loud to function. I feel really overwhelmed in those situations.

Oh, coo. But if it was too loud you couldn't win.
