LOL I consider myself a part of every fandom I read and like (I'm a professional fangirl, I think) so any fandom is appropriate.

I watched up to Catching Fire but I didn't really like Mockingjay the book so I don't think I'll be watching the movie. Pretty much how I feel about the Divergent series as well. Books 1 & 2 were good, the movies were OK, not going to watch the movies for book 3.

It's always slightly agonizing to wait for assignments! I think nightfallwen does a great job with them, though (and better her than me!). I was ticked that I got to write for tamlane in my first year participating.

i watched the films in an odd order. Hunger games, then mocking jay part 1 (it's split up. DH has a lot to answer for) and then last week, Catching fire on netflix. Now re-watching mockingjay.

I think I found Catching Fire was the weakest. very abrupt start and finish and didn't really flesh out the thing you'd think from the trailer. Katniss is just suddenly obsessed with keeping Peeta safe for like... no reason consider they still hardly know each other.

DH really does have a lot to answer for...I blame it for every final book is two movies scenario.

The movies don't do a very good job of explaining the different relationship dynamics. The books explain why she suddenly has so much concern for Peeta. I had to read the books recently just to scratch them off my list and when I watched the movies I could see how people who were only movie-watchers could get confused.

Just another case of the books are better. Granted, Mockingjay book is still the weakling of the series.
