So I was googling a friend's birthday to figure out if they were the same sign as me following, Taurii traits being mentioned yesterday and found this description on a website;

While a part of my higher reasoning knows Astrology has got to be bogus, I can't help but embrace it too. After all, I've got so many Libra traits. lol

I think our need to put people in categories is so strong, it's almost instinctive. But I think this is also true of other things like psychology. I mean, I read about a certain personality disorders and immediately I’ll start categorizing myself and people. It’s like if you already believe the category to begin with, you'll start filling in the blanks, and if you don't, you'll automatically look for the differences. It’s kind of fascinating. Of course as a writer, I use both psychology and astrology to help create characters.

while saying its the stars fault is bogus. People's personalities being affected by when they were born certainly is true.

Definitely think you're right about the category thing. It's also something where a little information becomes a dangerous thing. Like every child who doesn't pay attention is suddenly though out as have ADHD or whatever.
