- - -
A bishop danced across the board, quite literally.
"Checkmate," Ron Weasley said, grinning and leaning back in his armchair. To his surprise a coffee date had led to him taking a witch home back to his flat.
Pansy Parkinson stared at the board, eyes narrowed.
"This is not checkmate."
"Yes, it is!" yelled back her king.
"Shut up, you" Pansy snarled.
Ron pulled out his wand and started chivvying the pieces back to their starting positions.
"Another round?" Ron asked.
"What again?" Pansy said.
"Sure, it's early still." Ron replied.
"I'm starting to think when you said once we done with coffee we should head back to yours to 'play chess and chill', you meant it quite literally."
Ron was only half listening, some pawns had broken away from the pack and were making a bid for freedom towards the kitchenette.
"Sure, what else could I mean-" His brain caught up with him. "-wait was sex on the cards?"
"It was before you crushed me at chess."
"Well…"
"Mercilessly."
"I…"
"Four times in a row."
Ron started at her for a moment. Then he shrugged. Easy come, easy go. He finished setting up the board again.
"Fifth time's the charm?"
