hp_nextgen100's prompt #273: "Beltane" which I skimmed a wiki article of, and then described something sorta similar I hope but mainly played for laughs.

"Beltane's coming up." Dominique said one evening, reading from her book. "First of May."
"Okay," drawled James. "And that is?"
"Pagan festive for the start of summer, you'd like it."
"Because?"
"Food, drink, setting things on fire?"
"So… Bonfire night, six month's early?"
"Ugh…" Dominique said. "You're impossible."
"Convince me then."
"Well, it's also Wiccan. So a bunch of witches that build up a great big bonfire, drink and dance naked around it?"
"Right, I'm convinced," James said, thinking of his cousins and shifting in his seat around a sudden hardness. "If you weren't just having me on."
Dom laughed.
