The Head Girl looked at James Sirius Potter over the teacher’s desk and said:
“What was it this time?”
“It was a trifle, cuz.” James said, with a cheeky smile.
“It can’t have been a small thing, you got a detention for it.” said Victoire Weasley.
“No, a trifle” James said. “Custard, cream, jelly, fruit, you know.”
“Where did you get a trifle, James?”
“The kitchens,” James said. “I didn’t mean to drop it on Professor Hepburn, it’s just my hover charm didn’t work.”
Victoire sighed.
“This is your third detention this week.”
James shrugged. He liked detentions with Victoire.
