Snowflake Day 3

Day 2 was to talk to someone new and thanks to comments on journals for snowflake I've done that.

Challenge #3: Guess Who's Coming to Dinner

In your own space, tell us who, from one of your fandoms, would you most want to have dinner with (or tea, or a random afternoon visit), And why? This could be a creator, an actor, a costumer, a set designer, a director, a character, a composer, anybody! What would you talk about? What are you dying to know? Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.

The boring, honest answer is no really. I don't think I have enough in common with fictional characters to make it interesting, and double so I don't want to interact with real life creators, at least not in the context of big famous creators of proper stuff. I'm shy I wouldn't enjoy it, they wouldn't either.

But then I realised I was thinking of hosting the fictional characters in real life, either at my home or in a real life restaurant or location. What if we turn it around a bit and have a fictional character host me at in their verse?

Say attend a naval dinner on the HMS Surprise hosted by Jack Aubrey, or a feast in Westeros or Hogwarts. (The later would be safer). I've no more expectation that I'd fit in with a hard drinking, big eating, early 19th century naval crew or wizards but boy would that be an experience! And I'd find out exactly what soused hog's face actually is.

So it's probably cheating but that's my answer.

I don't think it's cheating at all -- I love the idea of going to visit elsewhere! Thanks so much for joining us in the challenge today!

I think that's a great answer, too!

No, not cheating... The challenge only says you'll have dinner with someone - why not somewhere like Hogwarts? Great idea. I think I'm going, too. ♥

A feast in Hogwarts sounds fun! :D A feast in Westeros less so (I'd be afraid of being slaughtered)... But hey, I like your answer. :D

This is an excellent answer.

I'd like a feast in Hogwarts, not so sure about Westeros though!

I like your answer! I don't know if I really want to see soused hog's face but then again some of the Hogwarts dishes sound a little suspicious too! :D

Good answer! I've wanted to have dinner at Hogwarts ever since I started reading the books. Westeros would be interesting as long as it could be guaranteed that I'd make it out in one piece.

Do you have a specific place in Westeros that you'd like to visit?

No, I definitely chose all my characters at their locations, I want the grand tour as well as tea, lol!

I love this response! Your answer could be its own fascinating question: in which fictional world would you most like to have attend a feast?

I think I'd go with Redwall Abbey, but Hogwarts would be fun too.
